The «Big Salts Restoration treatment hospital» is a unique interregional medical center, which specializes in the successful rehabilitation of patients with diseases of musculoskeletal system, diseases of the peripheral nervous system, post-traumatic status.

Under the leadership of Honored Physician of Russia - Alexander Barbakadze, the center "Big Salts" has made significant progress and expanded its professional opportunities.

So in 1995, the orthopedic department with surgery block was opened, where hip joint replacement, and all operations on foot and ankle joints are followed by rehabilitation (Currently, hip joint replacements and other operations are not conducted for technical reasons).

We have most up-to date equipment, in particular-"SCENAR". It is an apparatus with biofeedback (the latest development of military and space medicine), the U.S. robot- dynamometer "KIN-COM" (for the development of joints and muscle training) and other medical innovations of the third millennium.

In January 2001, the children's orthopedic department was opened. Like adults, children's individual programme of rehabilitation is based on concomitant diseases and age. Professor Blandinsky gives consultations.
